1.Shoe Designing & Pattern Cutting-:
The PDC develops its own design collection for the industry on demand.

2.CAD / CAM-:
FIDS provides the grading services to the industry through its well-equipped CAD Center.

3.Sample Development-:
The Design Studio is backed by the services of well-equipped sample room.

4.Prototype Development-:
Development of Rapid Prototyping technologies, 3 D printing and advances in CAD and design methodologies led to a revolution in product development strategies.

5.Last Modelling-:
The foot scanner scans the foot up to the leg height in all the 3 dimensions and thus gives a proper fit and comfort for the user of the shoes developed on the so developed lasts.

6.Sole Designing & Mould Making-:
Sole designing and sole mould designing, till recently was non-existent in India.

Although the Footwear manufacturing in this area had started centuries before Indian independence, but the sector was not fully developed, as the basic infrastructure was not available at that time. It was actually beginning of sixties when the leather producers and other entrepreneurs thought of value addition to leather by converting it into footwear and other leather goods as the basic raw material i.e. leather was available in abundance.
